About Gwendolyn Rygg

Gwendolyn Rygg graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elon University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatrical Design & Technology along with minors in Art and Teaching & Learning.

At Elon she had the privilege of working as Scenic Designer for Violet (which was sadly unrealized due to COVID-19) and Clown Bar and Prop Master for We Will Rock You during her senior year.

She previously worked as Prop Artisan at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, Michigan during Summer 2019.

During the lapse in employment due to the pandemic, Gwen turned to the fine arts and opened her own Etsy shop selling hand-painted denim items. This opportunity has allowed her to enjoy drawing and painting for herself again!

​

In Summer 2022, Gwendolyn joined the Prop Shop at Des Moines Metro Opera as Properties Artisan and also worked on Run Crew for their productions! Following her work in Iowa, she traveled to Long Island to the Gateway, working as Run Crew on The Cher Show and Properties/Paints Artisan for their Haunt season.

 

Gwendolyn is currently working as Properties Artisan at Gulfshore Playhouse in beautiful Naples, Florida!
